It was great to meet with local constituents in Sourton Place alongside Cllr Peter Matten, who put this residents' meeting together last week.
It was insightful to hear first-hand about issues including the Winter Fuel Allowance cuts and First Points failings, amongst other concerns raised. I stand firmly against these cuts to winter fuel, which I know from speaking with the Sourton residents will cause real hardship and concern for those in our community. I am keen to work for local constituents and will communicate their concerns with relevant stakeholders.
These conversations help me better represent our community's needs and concerns.
