Today I spent my afternoon in the village of Earls Barton, where my first stop was the historic Jeyes Pharmacy and Heritage Museum. This remarkable establishment has been a cornerstone of the community since the 1880s, offering both a working pharmacy and a fascinating glimpse into our local history. Over the past 40 years, David and Georgina, along with their daughters Philippa and Anna, have transformed Jeyes of Earls Barton, it now features an award-winning coffee shop, beautiful gardens, an ice cream bar, gift and toy shops, and a fascinating maze of museums and exhibitions all under one roof.
Following on from this, I made my way to the Christmas Fayre in the Market Square, where the festive atmosphere was in full swing. It was wonderful to see so many local traders and residents coming together, with stalls offering everything from handmade crafts to seasonal treats. Events like these truly showcase what makes our village communities so special, particularly during the festive season.
