Back home after the first week back in Westminster following the Christmas break, and I do hope all of my constituents had a happy and restful Christmas and New Year.
Westminster has been very busy this week and policy enquiries continue to arrive on a range of international issues and the Post Office Horizon IT scandal. I am pleased that the Prime Minister has announced that emergency primary legislation will be brought forward as soon as possible to overturn the convictions and provide compensation, and I will continue to monitor this closely.
In the patch it has been a busy day of meetings, visits and appointments. Casework arriving has been on issues with HMPO, highways, education settings, accessing benefits, public transport, planning, and NHS service provision.
As ever, if I can be of any assistance at all please do not hesitate to get in touch.
